Slappy is getting a lifetime achievement award at the Friars Club. Her nemeses see this and plot for revenge on her. Beanie the Bison goes first. He tries to blow her up on the red carpet. Sid the Squid tries to blow her up with a cake decorated with lit sticks of dynamite. Walter Wolf plants dynamite on her award and attempts to award it. Slappy surprises him by giving a speech thanking her former costars and awarding them the award. Skippy gets the honor of blowing them up.
Shorts set in Hollywood settings often took the opportunity to include different celebrity caricatures. Among the attendees are 3 out 4 Golden Girls, Betty White, Bea Arthur and Estelle Getty, Don Rickles, George Burns, Milton Berle and Bob Hope. I had no idea who most of them were aside from the Golden Girls when I first saw the short. I know all of them now (I have eclectic tastes).
