In a retelling of the story of Adam and Eve, Slappy protects an apple tree from a snake. The snake isn't chatting with Eve, he's going straight for the apple for himself.
This show features a cameo from baby Plucky from Tiny Toons Adventures. I still quote baby Plucky anytime I'm in an elevator. "You don't push the button. I push the button."
In the opening, the cars change from the 1930s cars to modern cars as part of a way to demonstrate the passage of time. The cars in the opening sequence are what my brain tells me a proper car looks like. The boxy, maligned 80s cars aren't what the common cars look like anymore. Like all things old school, I like their look.
While watching this, I frequently find myself just enjoying it. The animation is smooth. The characters are expressive. The slapstick is funny. The voiceover work is perfect. It's creative and fun and well done. So satisfying.
