The oldest stones of the graveyards in my town have some beautiful words to remember the people that have passed.
In Memoriam: Mary 1799
In memory of Mary Daugr
of Joseph & Catharine Boyle
who died March 30th 1799
the 15th year of her age
It is the Lord our Saviours hand
Weakens our strength amidst the race
Disease & death at his command
Arrest us & cut short our days
